A workplace wellbeing strategy is a structured and strategic action plan designed to improve and support the physical, mental, and financial and social wellbeing of employees within an organisation. It involves strategic wellbeing pillars, policies and processes, programmes and initiatives that aim to prevent the workplace from causing poor health and wellbeing and aims to create a healthy, supportive, and productive environment based on supporting mental health in the workplace.
A successful wellbeing strategy addresses various aspects of employee health, from preventing work related stress, suporting mental and emotional wellbeing to physical fitness and work-life balance.
In the UK, strategies for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace are not specifically required by law. However, an impactful wellbeing stratgey benefits employers and employees in a range of outcomes and employers do have legal obligations to support employee mental health under various regulations:
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974: Employers are required to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of their employees, which includes mental health. Employers must assess and manage risks, including those related to mental health, such as work related stress, anxiety, and depression.
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999: Employers must assess the risks to the health and safety of their employees, including psychological risks by doing stress risk assessments and taking action on them.
Equality Act 2010: Employers must make reasonable adjustments for employees with mental health conditions considered a disability under this act. Failing to do so could lead to claims of discrimination. Employment Rights Act 1996: This covers the right to take time off for sickness, which includes mental health conditions.

Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Strategic Wellbeing Leadership
Yes, our Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Strategic Wellbeing Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification, accredited by OCN Credit4Learning, and is mapped to national standards. At 370 guided learning hours the course is the equivalent learning hours to a Foundation Degree.
Yes, during the course we will offer monthly mentoring sessions and all live Masterclasses have time for Q&A sessions. You can also ask your tutors questions anytime via email or your class Whatsapp Community
Your Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Strategic Wellbeing Leadership is assessed in two stages. Over the course of the training, your Units and Action Plan will be assessed, giving you constructive feedback and added mentoring.
Once this has been completed, you will have a final assessment involving a 10 minute strategy presentation on employee mental health support and wellbeing in the workplace.
Your final assessment mark provides you with a Pass, Merit or Distinction.
The Pass–Merit–Distinction grading system is used to provide:

It gives learners a more detailed picture of how well they’ve met the learning outcomes—not just whether they’ve passed, but how effectively they’ve demonstrated understanding, application, and impact.
Recognition of excellence
A “Distinction” recognises learners who go above and beyond minimum expectations—showing deeper insight, critical thinking, and strategic application. This is particularly important for a professional certification where learners are preparing for leadership roles or to continue learning on to a Masters.
Alignment with national standards
Our assessment approach aligns with the broader Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) using tiered grading for transparency and quality assurance.

Employers are not legally required to cover the cost of the Diploma, however if they wish to improve mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and provide professional development for you in your role, they may wish to invest in your development.
Under UK employment law, full-time employees have the right to request time off for training or study at work, so you can request this time off if you can show that the mental health training will benefit your employer’s business.
Our Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Strategic Wellbeing Leadership is very popular, and we only have 20 places available in each cohort. We run the course twice a year.

The Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Strategic Workplace Wellbeing is taught through a blend of 5 live Masterclasses, a Group and 121 Mentoring Session, Subject Matter Expert Partner Conference, 12 self-directed learning units, and the delivery of Strategy and Action Plan.
The Diploma itself lasts for 12 ,months, where you’ll learn and apply the most effective strategies for improving employee mental health and wellbeing.
The Advanced Certificate is exclusively for HR, wellbeing leads and anyone with responsibility for developing and delivering mental health and wellbeing strategies turning wellbeing enthusiasts into certified workplace wellbeing strategy specialists.

Level 3 Preventing Work-related Stress & Supporting Mental Health Training
The Level 3 Preventing Work-related Stress and Supporting Mental Health Training for Managers can be done as a blended course, with both online and in-person learning, or it can be done fully online or in-person.
Our training sessions are designed for groups of 10 to 18 learners. We limit the amount of people on the course to ensure the most effective learning environment.

There are 8 different masterclass modules to complete, including Tackling Stigma, Preventing Stress, and Enhanced Communication Skills. The course is delivered flexibly to suit the needs of your managers and the business.
The Preventing Work-related Stress and Supporting Mental Health for Managers training is specifically designed for individuals who have people management responsibilities. This includes not only managers who directly oversee teams but also HR professionals and Wellbeing Leads who play a crucial role in shaping and supporting workplace culture.

We evaluate mental health and wellbeing workshops through pre-and post-course assessments, and webinars are reviewed via a questionnaire at the end of each session. We ensure to provide detailed reports to demonstrate the value of the membership.
Our workshops can fit between 10 and 16 learners, while our webinars can facilitate upto 90. We limit the amount of learners per session so we can make sure everyone gets the most effective support and training we can offer.
